Abstract:
The basic scientific hypothesis of the article is that the humanization has become a growing trend within the economic thought. The paper examines the evolution in the patterns of human economic behavior across the history of economic thought. The author considers the development of the Homo Economicus concept within the Economic Liberalism mainstream, Homo Politicus concept valorized by the Economic Institutionalism and Keynesianism mainstreams. Another prototype of economic behavior - Homo Socialis and, its boundary manifestation – Homo Sovieticus are also analyzed. According to the author, the spreading of the underground economy, the globalization and virtualization of the human activity increase the risk of people being manipulated, both at the physical level and at the informational one. In author’s view, to reduce such a risk, the humanization of the economic education is needed.
