Abstract:
The article is devoted to issues of cultural diversity and tolerance in society based on the collective existence in local communities and the global society. Modern libraries serving diverse interests and communities work as centers of learning, culture and information. Library services should take into consideration of fundamental principles of liberty and equality in terms of access to information and knowledge for all, respecting the identity and cultural values.
