dc.description.abstract |
Many study found that women in business environments often don’t get the same challenging assignments or promotions as their male colleagues, and don’t feel their contributions aren’t taken seriously. These days, this is an issue that most businesses at least claim to worry about. But that’s a relatively recent development. These women are frequently the subjects of media scrutiny. Their visibility serves to many as proof of women’s achievements in corporate during the twenty-first century. Similarly, an increase in GDP also leads to an increase in employment. However, for the purposes of my analysis, I use a supply-side approach, where production (GDP) is a function of labor and capital. Here we assume that male employment is constant. Since I seek to assess to what extent the evolution of women employment has an impact on GDP. JEL: Z19 |
