Abstract:
The authors are researching how circular economy principles can support the entrepreneurial ecosystem in shifting and adjusting to climate change through innovation in the context of the pandemics. The purpose of this thesis is to gain an in-depth understanding of exactly this situation and opportune momentum for digital and more circular transformation. The change taking place worldwide and a crisis creates a foundation to fuel more sustainable growth patterns affecting not only the types of products consumed, business models developed, but moreover the ecosystem and the interactions in it. The qualitative method of content analysis of the various reports was used to construct and evaluate different ecosystem models and how these can absorb circular economy principles. Based on this methodology some patterns for systemic innovation are identified and conclusions are drawn based on the results of the research.
